Afyon Kocatepe University (AKU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences organized a technical trip to Balmahmut Marble Company with the participation of third and fourth year students of AKU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Business Administration as part of the 50th anniversary events.
The trip, which was carried out with the participation of Balmahmut Company Owner Hatice Ayva, was attended by AFİKAD President Samiye Hancıoğlu, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya, Res. Asst. Yavuz Karazeybek, academic staff and students.
Marble production and technology were introduced to students
In the first of the sector trips organized in cooperation with AFİKAD, students received information about the details of marble production from company owner Hatice Ayva. Afterwards, students toured the factory and learned about the production stages, and had the opportunity to closely observe the operation of the machines used in the factory. After the tour of the factory area, the company offered the students a meal.
The trip; It ended after AFİKAD members answered the students’ questions and a souvenir photo was taken.
