Afyon Kocatepe University has achieved a significant success by ranking 5th among 105 universities in Turkey in the field of Business, Management and Accounting, according to the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2026.
SCImago is a reputable ranking platform that evaluates academic performance based on Scopus data, using criteria such as citations, impact (Q1–Q4), and prestige (SJR). This result is a strong indicator of our university’s scientific visibility and research performance in the relevant field.
This achievement has been made possible through the collective contributions of the departments and academic staff, particularly within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The increase in publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, the growing diversity of contributing researchers, and the expansion of interdisciplinary research—especially high-quality studies published in Q1 and Q2 journals—have played a decisive role in this success.
